Jaros Analytics is a comprehensive reporting solution that enables business reporting for customers who run Oracle® E-Business Suite (EBS). It unlocks the data in Oracle EBS with a unique hybrid solution that makes operational data available in real-time using Jaros’ operational data store and facilitates strategic decision-making and analysis using the solution’s data marts.

The solution provides access to detailed data from Oracle EBS modules including Financials (GL, AP, AR, PA, FA), Manufacturing (Process and Discrete), Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, Costing, Bill of Materials, Material Requirements Planning, Advanced Planning, Routings, Work in Process, Order Management, Order Shipments, PO Requisitions, Services & Contracts, Working Capital, Quality, Projects, HR/Payroll/Benefits and Commissions.

Jaros Analytics is implemented using a data warehouse infrastructure and uses industry standard techniques such as star schemas, bridges, and type I and II dimensions. The product includes Active Meta Data Repository software that fully documents all data elements and provides a web-based help system.

There are 5 major components of the solution:

  • 1) Industry-specific data models including an operational data store that provides real-time operational information and a consolidated set of data marts that enable enterprise reporting.
  • 2) Pre-built ETL mappings that extract data from Oracle EBS and legacy systems to provide packaged analytics built into the Jaros data model.
  • 3) An Active Meta Data Repository (AMDR) that fully defines the Jaros Analytics and provides a framework for extending and growing the solution. It provides a reporting meta data layer that generates a Cognos Framework Manager layer. It also generates a Jaros Datalibrium meta data layer as well.
  • 4) Software that installs the product and allows customers to apply maintenance patches and enhancements.
  • 5) A pre-built operational framework and execution workflow engine that executes ETL mappings in the proper order to load the operational data store and data models. The entire operational framework is designed to be easily re-started after an execution failure.
